What's Going On?

  • Nov. 9th, 2009 at 3:24 PM
Hello all! I am having a little bit of a freakout and thus decided to post here to help calm my nerves a little before my appointment this Thursday. I had my annual checkup like 3 months ago and all was well. I am also in a monogamous relationship.

Last week, my boyfriend and I had a hard core sex session. It was intense and it lasted a long time. I remember sitting up right after it and I felt a sore pain in my nether-regions, which I just attributed to general soreness. Over the course of the week, it has not gotten any better. I can feel it if I sit a certain way or if I lay down and push my butt into the bed. Worst of all is that we actually tried having sex and it hurt like crazy when I was on top or on my side, but I had no pain when he was on top. Basically, it seems like it hurts whenever his penis goes up against my front vaginal wall. I also have slight pain around my vaginal opening. If I had any of the burning associated with a UTI, I'd think it might be the case.

It's the strangest thing, really. It almost feels like the pain is associated with my hymen (although I have been sexually active for a long time) and that things are not arranged down there the same way they were. Like...my hymen bits are more prominent than they were before. I could swear when we had sex after the initial pain, and I was on top, I'd felt a sort of "popping."

I know this post is really strange but I was wondering if any of you ladies had ever experienced anything similar, especially when it comes to the pain along the front vaginal wall, that gets really bad when you're on top or he's entering you from the side.

Thanks in advance!

Just started HBC

  • Nov. 9th, 2009 at 12:31 PM
Hey!

I just started HBC (ortho tri-cyclin lo) this month, and I am currently on my placebo week. My period started 12 days ago, before I was on my placebo week. Initially I wasn't worried because my doctor told me that it takes 2-3 months to adjust and it started at about the same time that it would have had I not been on the pill, but now, 12 days later, still on my period, I am beyond frustrated, and worried. Is this normal? My period typically lasts 4-6 days, so 12 days, even introducing new hormones into my system, seems excessive. I'm due to start a new pack of active pills on Wednesday, will this help staunch the bleeding or make it worse? Any input is beyond appreciated.

Average amount of blood

  • Nov. 9th, 2009 at 8:14 PM
So, I started keeping a menstrual diary when I got my cup because I was quite excited about it.  I looked up the average amount of blood
women lose, and it's around 35ml according to most sources.  Well, last month I lost 15ml and this month I only lost 20ml.  So I was just wondering how I compared to everyone else.

How do you feel about lyrics or absolute random shit in statuses? What annoys you to see?

Newly 80 Warlock

  • Nov. 9th, 2009 at 2:01 PM
Hi WoW ladies! The industrious and somewhat lazy kooky warlock is back! And now level 80!

But.. now that I am eighty I've realized I honestly have no clue what to do on gear, aside from getting hit capped. : /

I have a few ToC, both normal and heroic, under my belt but I'm still not sure what to do now. Given many people aren't interested in running Naxx anymore (LIES! Naxx is still fun dammit!) and solely focusing on either ToC or Ulduar I'm left standing with Susan the Fel Guard going...

"WTF man....?"

Here is a link of my gear, not the best and slowly being worked on. Is there any tips or tricks you lovable ladies could send my way? It all would be really appreciated!

On another note! I have a tablet again, and am able to do commissions once more! :D

I'm trying out a new recipe tonight; Deluxe Tuna Noodle Casserole. Pretty self-explanatory, it's tuna, cheese, pasta, some veggies...pretty basic stuff.

But what should I serve with it? I was thinking green beans and hot biscuits? Y/N? Would the biscuits and pasta together be too much in the way of carbs*?

*I hate trying to think up sides to go with pasta dishes...GAH!!

Bubbles in vaginal lubrication

A silly question but is it normal to have little bubbles in your vaginal lubrication? NOT normal discharge but only when you get aroused?

disposable income...

Ladies (or gents, whatever)--

when you wear nylon hosiery-knee highs, pantyhose, etc-do you wear once and toss, or do you wash and reuse?

Does it matter if it's the sturdier brand name stuff or the "everyday" big box o'nylons?

Example pic after the cut... )

Ok, end of cycle question

  • Nov. 9th, 2009 at 1:43 PM
How do you judge when to take out your cup for the end of your cycle? Like, how do you know its officially over? With tampons I would wear a pantyliner for a day or two after bleeding had totally stopped because I would have some light spotting there after. Do you think with the cup, that wont be a problem? I know you guys aren't dr's, but I'm wondering in your personal opinion if using the cup made a difference in post menses spotting.

Also, when I went to the loo just now, I was conviced it was time to empty, so I removed it only to find a triffle litte bit in the bottom, and creamy cervical mucus.*and no string! lol*  I'm wondering what that means for my flow, have any of you experienced this? Does the presence of the creamy cm possibly indicate that the flow is over? LIke, did the suction pull it all out already? LOL!

# 75 The Club Dumas

The Club Dumas

Arturo Pérez-Reverte

The Club Dumas brings together bibliophilia, The Three Musketeers, devil worship, and murder in a brilliant mystery with a definite gothic flavor.

I loved The Club Dumas! Not only am I a sucker for anything with a hint of gothic, but having recently read and whole-heartedly loved The Three Musketeers I especially loved the parallells with that wonderful classic.

The style was very similar to Carlos Ruiz Zafon's Shadow of the Wind. I'm not sure if the similarity is due to the Spanish culture, (both authors are Spanish), language translation, or some other factor. I am sure, though, that if you enjoyed one you would enjoy the other; and if you've never read either, I highly recommend them! You need not be a fan of Dumas or even familiar with his work to enjoy The Club Dumas. It's just a terrific, suspenseful, exciting read as it is.

When you guys are sweeping/cleaning and you have your little dustpile in the middle of the room, do you stop to pick out small, perfectly usable items of negligible value (pennies and nickels, hairties, paperclips), or at that point is it a now-or-never THROW IT ALL AWAY NOW type of thing?

Time for the biweekly grocery shopping. I did everything that wasn't produce yesterday, but I am getting all my fruits and veggies at the farmers' market after work today. Lots of really good local produce for REALLY dirt cheap. The stuff at the grocery store is crap compared to what I get here.

So, what fruits and veggies should I stock up on, TQC? They have most everything as far as normal, everyday produce. Some more exotic stuff, too.
